PRINCE RUPERT, BC

June 9, 2016

We arrived at the Prince Rupert RV Park midafternoon, so took off downtown to find the Visitor Center.  Their annual Seafest happened to be this weekend , with a parade and street booths.  We wanted to get the schedule for that and also find out where to find seafood!  When we checked out a nearby restaurant, their special that evening looks so good we decided to stay.   Halibut, sockeye salmon, prawns, scallops, and an oyster, with salad and potato.  MMMM.  It was so good.  The restaurant was not very busy, so when another couple sat at the table next to us, we struck up a conversation.  Here’s a small world moment for you.  The ladies name was Aila (pronounced like my mom’s name), which surprised us both since it is such an uncommon name.  But then she introduced her husband as Bill, my dad’s name.  I know, it doesn’t take much to entertain us.

Housecleaning day today, the bugs on the windshield we getting pretty bad, and you’ve seen the size of our windshield.  We needed a good hard rain.  Our supper of Dungeness Crab was history before we thought of getting a picture.  Never fear, there will be more.
