MONTANA/CANADA

May 28, 2016  Saturday

The laugh is on us, I guess.  The old guy in the campground gave us all kinds of advice for crossing the border.  We knew about no firearms or alcohol, but he said they would confiscate any eggs, apples, or potatoes, that it is the peels that contain the bacteria.  They will enter the RV and search.   So------since I had lots of farm fresh eggs from Scott at church, I was not about to let them be wasted.  I made up a quick potato salad and an egg salad.  I had also just bought a couple apples and pears, so we each had an apple and a pear for lunch to use them up.

We got to the border crossing and the attendant asked about alcohol and firearms, but nothing about food or pets.  He never entered the RV either.  However, I guess they can if they want to, so anyone crossing should at least be informed.  Anyway, it’s nice to have the potato salad ready for dinner.
